hello! we offer a unique all wood house set in the calm of an exquisite garden (pond, roses, terraces, organic fruit/veg)in a lovely village with an 11th century church, grottoes, parks and forests. You will enjoy all the benefits of what is good about paris without the inconveniences of pollution, noise, small overpriced rooms, and impersonal setting. We are the only B&B truly close to paris yet offering a spectacular place to stay with all the benefits of a family-run B&B: personal attention, a real home away from home with the use of virtually all the house: winter garden with jacuzzi, very large living room with fireplace, antiques, and art, adjoining sitting room, large library with cathedral windows, charming dining room with french doors opening onto the garden (-as is the case with the winter garden, living room, and sitting room...),and of course the very comfortable and inviting suites. Dormouse House features 2 very private rooms, each with their own bath, plus the possibility of a 3rd room adjoining the large rose suite for larger parties. as we are take only 2 parties at a time and are a small family run B&B, you will enjoy truly personal care. (Very often we will have only one party at a time). The blue room offers a view of the seine valley, an excellent bed, antiques and art, and is set within its own little wing with private shower room and separate toilet. The rose suite is up a spiral staircase on the 3rd floor (2nd floor in french parlance) and is extraordinarily spacious, featuring again a very comfortable bed, a large sofa, a desk, armoire, etc, and includes a private bath. next to this is the view room which overlooks the library and, through the large cathedral window, gives a panorama view of the garden, pond, and forest beyond. this room also has a single bed (and the possibility of adding more) for use only by couples in the rose suite requiring accommodation for others in their party.
We offer home cooked dinners, much appreciated by guests especially when they arrive and don't feel like going out again. Cooking lessons are also available (Lisa is a cooking teacher.)Other services available at reasonable rates include personal help with shopping (french translation, negotiation), chauffeuring to versailles, giverny, st germain en laye, the airport, chartres...), etc.
We pride ourselves on our personal touch, warm welcome, and a setting that combines true luxury yet absolute comfort. We try never to say 'no' to guests - breakfast is when you want, dinner when you want, coffee and tea as you like, meals tailored to your tastes, etc. This is truly your home while you are here.
Our rates run from 100e/double to 120/e double depending on the season, with singles in the view room at an additional 60/e in conjunction with the use of the rose suite. These prices have been recently discounted to help those paying in dollars and represent exceptional value. There are certain discounts available, including 100e/off your bill for stays of 1 week or more. KINDLY SEE OUR SITE AT IBBP.COM FOR MORE INFORMATION! (At the site, just search dormouse house under paris area b&bs, or google dormouse house).
