Cartoon dreams

In a series of paintings reminiscent of Paul Klee,Charles Patrick succeeds in drawing his audience into a unique world he calls CARTOON DREAMS.His art reveals itself slowly, as a thought, a feeling, a memory.Patrick's work represents a new interpretation of a world we sense we have visited before.

Colour Poems are performance art works that were filmed by the National Endowment for the Arts in 1980.

Artist Charles Patrick performed and exhibited these art works at galleries,museums and universities in the United States and Europe.

Many of his early symbol paintings were adapted for commercial products such as children's and women's clothings room decor as well as furniture, luggage and fashion accessories which were sold through New York department stores ( Bloomingdale's, Bonwit Teller and Lord& Taylor) and nationally through the J.C.Penney chain.Charles Patrick is currently developing a new line of children's designs.
